Why is health at work important?

When Health Group's consultants visit Danish companies and advise management on health-promoting initiatives such as active breaks and exercise in the workplace, the answer is often that it is difficult - or even impossible - to free up time in employees' calendars. Change is difficult, and cultural change in relation to health-related behavioral changes requires a determined and highly ambitious approach.

How can workplace training benefit your business?

Although it can be assumed to be a time-consuming project, it has been proven time and time again that exercise during working hours has beneficial effects that can be measured both on employees' general health, e.g. in relation to weight and fitness and neck pain - even more essential is that exercise in the workplace increases productivity and significantly reduces sick leave. In addition to these concrete benefits, we at Health Group also experience how health in the workplace has a significant impact on employee well-being and job satisfaction - both in terms of the dynamics and collective energy that an exercise element can contribute to in an open office environment.

Unemployment is approaching the level before the financial crisis in 2008, and it is expected to fall below 60,000 by the end of 2023. In addition, it is typically the same skills that companies demand, e.g. IT and digitalization skills are in high demand. In order to recruit and retain the sought-after employees, a company must therefore actively consider what employees want from their workplace - a high salary is no longer enough to attract Denmark's brightest minds. This is where the company's health strategy is crucial, and conducting health profiles can help identify exactly where the challenges lie and what employees want and need.

Based on the results of the health profiles, Health Group can help organize a sustainable strategy and advise the company on how to implement the strategy.
