Back in the year 2000, three of us thesis students in human physiology at the University of Copenhagen were talking about what we were going to do after our thesis.
Prescription exercise was in its infancy, and the later publication "Physical Activity - Handbook of Prevention and Treatment" inspired us with the idea of bringing exercise to employees in the workplace.
The Health Group was founded on the evidence that physically active employees would have better physical and mental health. 23 years later, I've found that this premise is more relevant than ever.
I am an objective and professional person who is scientifically educated. From January 2024, I will be Chairman of the Board of Directors of Health Group and Adam Rosenkilde will be the new CEO. As Chairman of the Board of Health Group, it is my job to set the overall direction and strategies for the company.
One of the core tasks is to approve the annual accounts and ensure that the finances are in order. As chairman, it is also my responsibility to appoint an executive board. The board not only approves the accounts and appoints an executive board. It is also tasked with setting the direction of the company.
New strategic plans or policies will therefore also be discussed by the board, and if key strategic decisions need to be made, the board will typically be consulted.
