Information about health checks

Purpose and objectives

Participating in a health check is a proactive step towards taking responsibility for your health, gaining relevant knowledge about essential parameters and making informed decisions for a healthier and more fulfilling life.

Contents

  1. A digital health screening that covers 5 essential areas of your overall health.
  2. A range of physical measurements
  3. A conversation focused on information and prevention of health problems. The health consultant will help interpret the results and guide you towards your desired goals, as well as answer questions about your physical and mental health.

1. Health screening

The purpose of the health screening is to perform a comprehensive assessment of your overall health, including working conditions, physical health, mental wellbeing, illness, pain and lifestyle factors. Our goal is to provide a thorough evaluation that takes all aspects of your health and well-being into consideration.

2. The physical tests

  • Body Mass Index (BMI)
  • Fat percentage
  • Waist size
  • Blood pressure
  • Total cholesterol
  • HDL cholesterol
  • LDL cholesterol
  • Triglycerides
  • HbA1c (long-term blood sugar)
  • Fitness test
  • Spirometry (for smokers)
  • Body age

3. individual conversation

Immediately after the measurements, you will have a personal conversation with the health consultant. Together with the consultant, you will have the opportunity to set a personal goal based on the results of the health screening and physical measurements, while taking your wishes and needs into account. In addition, a health score will be generated that takes into account your age and gender and provides a comprehensive assessment of your health status. All your results will be easily accessible through DigiHealth, where you can access information about relevant offers at your workplace, details about your results and general health information.

Blood tests

To measure blood parameters, a capillary sample is taken from the finger and the results are instantly available.

Consultants

Health Group's consultants are specialized in performing health checks. They have at least a bachelor's degree in fields such as physiotherapy, nursing, nutrition and health.

Control measurement by your own doctor

If values are measured that are too high or low compared to official guidelines, employees are referred to their own doctor for a control measurement. It is your own doctor who will perform further tests/measurements and handle it if necessary and any subsequent treatment. According to Heart Foundation statistics, it can be expected that approximately 15-20% of employees are referred to a doctor due to high blood pressure, cholesterol levels and blood sugar. Some employees may find that the doctor measures lower values than those measured during the health check. This is completely normal and can be due to various circumstances of the health check itself, such as stress, diet, sleep, fasting, etc. But differences in equipment can also play a role.

Equipment

The equipment for all measurements is clinically tested and approved medical test equipment and the most accurate on the market. The results are therefore highly reliable.

Confidentiality

The security and confidentiality of all data is of the utmost importance to us. Health Group ensures that all information is stored securely and treated with strict confidentiality. You can rest assured that no data will be shared with your employer or any third party. Your personal information remains completely confidential.

Precautions

There are several factors to consider to ensure that physical measurements are as accurate as possible:

  • You should not be more physically active than usual the day before your health check.
  • Avoid drinking alcohol the day before your health check.
  • Make sure you are well rested.
  • Make sure you drink at least ½ - 1 liter of water throughout the day.
  • Avoid drinking coffee/coke and alcohol on the day of your health check.
  • You should not smoke before your health check.
  • Please arrive 5 minutes before the test. Avoid being out of breath. Sit in the designated chair and relax!

NB. All tests are voluntary, i.e. you have the option to opt out of tests you don't want.

We look forward to seeing you!

Sincerely
Health Group A/S
